As a retired member of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office I was fortunate to have known and worked for Ken. He was always there for support and was a leader we all respected. Ken was a Cop's Cop and he was a big influence in my career. My condolences to the family. He will always be a member of the Thin Blue Line and will truly be missed.

As a retired deputy sheriff of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, I can say that “Ken” Remming, who retired from PCSO at the rank of major, was greatly respected and admired by all. Despite being surrounded , at times, by incredibly stressful events and uncertainty, Ken was a model of courage, fidelity, integrity, stability and rational decision making. The attached photo is from his 2001 retirement ceremony. This photo represented but a fraction of the attendees who were honored to participate in that recognition of his great success as law enforcement leader, but moreover as a role model and a beacon of light to all.

When I started at PCSO in the 80’s it was unheard of for a Deputy to even speak to a Major. Maj. Remming was not that way. Polite, respectful to the troops and very approachable and respected. RIP Boss.
