Lee Regulski - 98 of Clearwater, Florida passed away on April 10, 2025.
Lee Regulski of Clearwater, Florida died peacefully April 10, 2025 at the age of 98. Lee was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jan, of 74 years who passed in February 2025. Lee is survived by their four children: Susan Regulski, Kurt Regulski (Barbara), Doris Regulski Mitchen (Rick), Mark Regulski and their grandchildren, Craig Regulski, Elisa Regulski, Mark M. Regulski, Elizabeth Shirey and Bianca Regulski.
Lee was born November 19, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in the Greenpoint Polish community. He enlisted in the US Army following high school graduation in 1944 and was assigned to a training program that sent him to college. First at St. Bonaventure in Allegheny, New York then to the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Following discharge from the U.S. Army, serving in WWII, he finished the last two years of college at Cornell University where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He met his wife, Jan, his senior year and they were married a few years later.
The family moved to Clearwater in 1962 when Lee took a job as Vice President of Construction with Arthur Rutenberg homes. He later worked independently designing and building office buildings in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg area and then working with Ted Wittner in St. Petersburg.
Lee enjoyed traveling all around the world with Jan and especially loved their annual trip to New York for the US Open Tennis tournament. He relaxed by sailing around Clearwater Bay, playing tennis, running, walking, and actually doing anything physical. He was an excellent handyman around the house and loved taking care of their Chinaberry Rd. home. He especially loved his cars; his last car license plate being Ragtop X, but he loved that he had actually had 11 convertibles.
Lee was very active with volunteer work in the community including Kiwanis, Community Service Foundation, Inc., church committees, Clearwater Free Clinic, various City Boards, Morningside/Meadows Homeowners Association, Cornell University Alumni Association, and three terms as Clearwater City Commissioner.
