Sending condolences to your family. A beloved teacher she was, indeed. I still don't know how she did it, her patience was something to behold. People comment about my lightning fast tying to this day, as I do it very loudly from banging on manual typewriter when first learning, only to graduate to a fancy electric one later. One of the most valuable life skills I ever learned. God bless you all, may she rest in peace.
Sorry to hear of her passing - we all gave her a run for her money at BW, but she was a good and patient teacher. I am using the skills she taught me in typing classes to type this note to you all. I have used these skills all my life in most jobs and in college; who would have known that learning typing and keyboards would be something that we all would use many times in our daily lives. Kathy and Melanie so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a great woman. She was my favorite teacher at BW and I always looked forward to her classes. She was the one that directed me to Robert Morris to begin my college career and I have been able to apply those skills through my entire life to this day. I remember all the fun we had at your house over the years. Miss those years, they went too fast.

I graduated in 1974 from BW. I absolutely loved Mrs. Kirby. So grateful she taught all of the business/secretarial courses. Academics was not my thing but how I loved business. In fact I was awarded the business honor at graduation. Thank you Mrs. Kirby for all of the life skills and business skills you passed on to me. May the angels welcome you home!
Mrs. Kirby was a wonderful Human Being. I had her as a typing teacher at BW. Believe it or not I do a little writing now and the skills she taught me have come in handy. Our Family had some fun times together with the Kirby's at Deep Creek Lake. Thanks Mrs. Kirby for all you have done for others. My prayers and thoughts are with the Family....
Mrs. Kirby was one of my favorite teachers at Bishop Walsh. I took many of her accounting and typing classes. In one class their only about 6-8 of us and we really got to know each other and her. I remember her very fondly! What a great life that she led after retirement: ballroom dancing and traveling! That's so awesome! My condolences to her family and friends.

Mrs. Ehresman was my typing teacher at Bishop Walsh. I liked her so much my junior year, I took her again senior year for Advanced Typing. I still remember so many of the little “rules“ she taught us about typing and most recently, one of my students asked me “Miss McGann, how can you type so fast?” I told him I had a great teacher! May she Rest In Peace, my condolences to the family.
I have many fond memories of Lina at Bishop Walsh. We worked together in the Guidance Office and she was always pleasant and professional. I appreciated her support and mentoring. She was an amazing woman! Rest In Peace, Lina.
