Lorraine Jean Newton-John's Obituary
Lorraine Jean Newton-John, 69, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully in Dunedin, FL surrounded by loved ones on July 10, 2017. Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jean Ranieri Porch.
Lorraine was born in Woodbury, New Jersey, to Bill and Jean on November 3, 1947. She went to high school at St. James High School, Carney's Point, NJ and later went on to earn a degree in Legal Assisting from City College Casselberry, graduating Cum Laude. Lorraine was a voracious reader, loved the beach, volunteered throughout her life, cheered on all Philly sports teams, and enjoyed traveling (especially to her beloved Italy). However, her greatest joy in life was being a mom.
Lorraine is survived by her five children, Joey (Fran) Mina, Jason (Gina) Mina, Nicholas Newton-John, Joshua (Kaitlin) Newton-John, and Lauren Newton-John, as well as six grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel in Clearwater, FL on July 29, 2017, at 11:00 am with Father Ted Costello officiating. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Lorraine’s life will immediately follow the mass. Details to follow.
