Marie Rachel J Lucarelli's Obituary
LUCARELLI, Marie Rachel, 74 of Clearwater entered eternal life on July 7, 2016. Rachel and her husband, Skip have been enjoying their home in Clearwater, Florida for over 25 years. Rachel’s spirit is carried on by her 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 7 siblings and her loving husband. Rachel adored spending time with all her grandchildren: Heather, Shaun, Brenna, Addison, Lennon, Connor, Rory, Sullivan, Tyler, Liam and Rocco. Rachel’s cherished days in Ogunquit with her grandchildren building sandcastles, swimming in the ocean and sharing beach fries. Rachel always considered her greatest achievement in life was the raising of her children Timothy, Michael, Matthew and Elizabeth. Rachel and Skip were married for almost 20 years and she enjoyed her life with her loving husband Skip. Together, Rachel and Skip shared their love for each other that can never be replaced.
Rachel will leave a lifelong legacy of cooking and baking to her entire family. She was well known for her great blueberry and strawberry rhubarb pies. Rachel’s love of cooking and baking created a rich tradition within the family to create wonderful meals and deserts, especially during the holidays and family get-togethers.
Rachel set the standard for selfless giving and compassion for other people. Rachel had a gift for understanding people and offering them comfort and support, always putting others ahead of herself. Rachel was always offering to help people in need and often Rachel would comfort and aid strangers who were suffering. Rachel loved the underdog and she always wanted to help those who could not fight for themselves.
Rachel is the daughter of the late Monique Pouliot and Romeo Gendron and raised in Sanford and Alfred, Maine. Rachel’s caring personality came from her upbringing with a large French Canadian family of 7 siblings. As the second eldest child of eight, Rachel became a second mother to her younger brothers and sisters, often helping her mother care for the family. Rachel is survived by her brothers and sisters: Bernard, Richard, John, Helen, Louise, Roger and Charlie.
