I was a college friend of Kathleen’s and spent a lot of time at their home. The first time I visited, I remember Ms. Daly was vacuuming—even with her rheumatoid arthritis. She embodied independence and resilience, showing that nothing should ever hold you back. She was always kind, welcoming, and a true role model. She will be deeply missed.

Marilyn Daly brilliantly used a light touch to lead the League of Women Voters with charm, wit, and a winning personality, a necessary skill to achieve consensus among her equally talented membership. Every memory Anita and I have of Marilyn is of her smiling, and we are so very sorry to learn of her loss.
In addition to Marilyn being a wonderful person, she was also a great fan of college basketball. Since the mid 1990s, she has been a fixture in our March Madness pool, and made it so much more fun with her sense of humor and skill in picking her bracket. She will be greatly missed.
