When i was a young girl, visiting in Florida, I met my other family, Marge & Joe, and two beautifull young girls. They became my family too, the girls were so young and Cindy was so spunky. Maryann was just a liittle shy girl with pig tails, but she had charm, and a golden tongue. Maryann latched onto her sister and became her sisters shadow. Cindy was definitely the elder and looked after her sister. Cindy was the protector, how she loved her family, she was older beyond her years! Of course the girls still had squabbles but their Mom always handled it peacefully, subtly, and lovingly. Mother didn't yell, she was patient, loving and able to redirect the girls.
Mother (Marge), as Cindy,Maryann and their father Joe called Marge was a very even keeled women. In a short time I grew to love my family, they welcomed me and my brother with open arms. With the family i felt wanted, and I fit the puzzle. My time with the family, although short, by some standards, has spanned over 47 years. I am blessed to be a part of their family. Marge and Joe touched my life forever. Their impact on me has helped me shape the person I am today. Although I hadn't seen Marge and Joe for years, we kept in touch, through holidays, marriage, births, and just a hello. One of the first things on my bucket list was I wanted to see Marge and Joe.
I am in Florida,(Naples) for the winter months. As fate would have it, one of my christmas cards crossed the families path and Cindy set out to come and visit me and my husband, with Mother, Maryann and Marges sister. It was the most memorable day for me, spanning over 47 years I got to see my Florida family. It was like I never left, we all grew older, our gray hair was showing but the bond that was formed so many yeasrs sgo remained the same. As fate would have it, I did get to see Mother, the girls and Father in his own way. Marge was special, she will be missed,(Father too) my christmas cards from Marge and joe no longer will be,but the memories I have can't be taken away. Thank you, mother for touching my heart.
Forever
