Marjorie E. McElveen's Obituary
Marjorie E. McElveen, 75, of Clearwater, FL died February 12, 2018 at Mease Countryside Hospital. Born in Dearborn, MI to George E. & Stella M. Koehler. She moved to Florida with her parents in 1957. Graduated Clearwater High School 1961. Married Joe in 1963. Marjorie was a bookkeeper for 25 years for Mr. Darwin Frank, owner of Frank's Department store. When Mr. Frank retired, she worked for Mr. Reuben Miller at Marjie's Fashions in Sunshine Mall for 12 years. She was co-owner of Stelmar Mfg. in Safety Harbor, FL with her husband from 1975-1989 until he retired. She worked for Jim Stewart Shoes, "Hush Puppies" at Countryside Mall until she retired. In her retirement, she loved to walk on the beach collecting shells with her daughters. She was a regular at Honeymoon Island State Park. She enjoyed playing games, making funny cards and compiling her family tree on her computer. She constantly spoiled her grand dogs Lilly & Maddy. She took pride in her green thumb, tending hundreds of violets. She had a generous heart and was loved by all. Predeceased by husband Joe G. McElveen, Sr; survived by daughters, Cynthia M. Marshall (Bobby) of Orlando, FL and Mary McElveen of Palm Harbor, FL; step-daughter, Pamela J. Olberg (Todd) of Hibbing, MN; brother George H. Koehler of Westland, MI; sister, Donna M. Whaley of Weidman, MI; "adopted son" Jim Fatz of Palm Harbor, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 6:00PM-8:00PM at the funeral home and services will be at graveside Wednesday, February 21, 11:00AM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
