I was so blessed to have Bud as a stepfather. He was kind-hearted, had common sense, a keen sense of humor, which he used at the worst times to have me laughing, like the time I didn’t make cheerleading squad and he and Ralph took me to Burger King and had me so glad, and laughing so hard, that I got over it immediately. He helped me with my math homework, built me a doll house, grounded me when he had to, taught me to play tennis and played Donkey Kong, let me drive his grandma’s old Delta 88 and to be extra respectful of my elders. He made sure there was a flag out and a barbecue on all America’s patriot days. It was fun just running errands with him. He made me feel important. I loved Meg when I met her and they had Kelsey and I love her too. I’ve never seen a prettier baby and now she’s a Wonderful young woman. I’m heartbroken Bud passed when she’s this young. However, as Bud would say, we have to “trust the Man upstairs.” God must really love me because he put Bud in my life. I sure do miss him. Big hugs.
