What a beautiful service. I can see why my mom loved Father Ted...he is as quirky and funny as mom! Funniest priest I’ve ever seen speak!
Dad played their song as a eulogy: “You’re Getting to Be a Habit With Me.” The most touching, beautiful song I think I’ve ever heard him play in my life. Brought us to tears.
Thank you to everyone who was able to be there, and thank you to those who could only send flowers and prayers and cards and emails and phone calls instead. My fathers house is filled with beautiful blooms. Maybe it will help him in the difficult days ahead.
Much love to my beautiful nieces Rachel and Hannah. You beautiful ladies handle yourselves with such grace. I’m SO proud of you both and love you so very much.
Heading back to South Dakota tomorrow. Please send prayers to my father and brother as they start to try to build a new life without my mom there in the house.
I need to thank my husband Patrick for all his love and support during this time. He has been a strong shoulder to lean and to cry on...and we are all so grateful for your love and kindness this past week and a half. What would I do without you? ❤️
I know that with all the planning and things I’ve had to do here the magnitude of this loss hasn’t hit me yet. Hopefully there won’t be many posts filled with sadness and self-pity in the days to come. Thank you all for your love and support during this extremely difficult time. ❤️❤️❤️
