I'm not sure if this is even monitored anymore, but this time of year has me thinking about Nathan, as we called him in middle school and high school. Nathan was an incredible person and friend. I sat next to him on the bus to the first day of 6th grade and we proceeded to have a million adventures from there, romping around all of Palm Harbor and even a fun cruise to around the Caribbean with his mom and stepdad. He was one of the smartest people I've ever met. I think of him often and miss him to this day. I wish I had kept in better touch as we got older. He left his mark on me as he did so many others, as we can clearly see from the many messages like mine on this page. Miss you Nathan

Nate was such a kind and intelligent soul. He was a great friend you could count on and I remember how easy it was to just chat and have a great time with him. He took me down to the piers to see the wildlife and would always message me when he found an alligator or another interesting creature he’d knew I would enjoy. May his memory live on

I remember when I first met Nate, when he moved to Au Gres, Michigan. He, and I connected right away, and became the best of friends. Nate moved back to Florida, and missed my birthday on November 21st, a few days later, I drove 19 hours straight to Florida, in order to be there for his birthday. I convinced him to drive up to Michigan with me for Christmas! Nate was very fond of Grimass. which was our pet Bearded Dragon. As I am typing this I am crying my eyes out. I can't believe he is gone. He was one of my closest friends, someone who I could trust no matter what. I feel as if I have lost a part of me.

Nate, a bright light on a cloudy day. Your smile, gentleness and humor were so natural for you to share with all who knew you. To the family and friends of my dear friend Nathaniel, I wish all of you peace and comfort as you endure the coming days and adapt to living without his earthly presence. I cannot begin to say how much his beaming personality and his wit touched me, sometimes on a daily basis when he would send me memes to make me laugh or just think. Over the years, we became closer and so trusting of each other and shared some profound conversations. I still grab my phone, wanting to reach out and just hear Nathaniel’s voice. I’m sure everyone else feels the same. I wish for everyone to find solace in their own memories of Nathaniel and to be at ease knowing he’s at peace and can now be the brother to Nicholas he should have had the chance to be. Some bonds are meant to be and will never break. Until I see you again, Nathaniel, you remain a true and trusted friend in my heart and I’ll be happy to hug you once more.

RIP my dear young friend. I will miss your smile and the joy you brought to my life since I first met you as a freshman and friend to my son at Baylor. Nathan, even though you often turned to me for advice, I am the better for having learned so much from you. About kindness for a stranger, to show more compassion for others because you can’t tell by looking at them what kind of a day or life they were living. Smart beyond your years. We are all better for knowing you. You touched a lot of people in your three decades. Your life made a difference.
