Nathaniel Sebastian Dolan's Obituary
On Saturday, October 30, our beloved Nathaniel Sebastian Dolan was reunited with his brother Nicholas in heaven. Under the compassionate care of Hospice, he passed peacefully in the arms of his mother Lisa and her partner Mike.
Nate, as he was affectionately know by many, was born December 18, 1989 at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. He attended Palm Harbor University High School where he completed the IB program with honors and competed in the National Science Bowl. He subsequently received two bachelors degrees (BioChemistry and Biology) and a Masters in Chemistry from Baylor University; graduating Magna Cum Laude. While pursuing his PHD, he also taught courses in the sciences at both Baylor and the University of Texas.
A curious mind since childhood, Nathaniel was a brilliant man with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. An avid reader and passionate teacher/tutor, he lived to learn and learned to teach.
Anyone who knew Nathaniel was touched by his infectious smile, genuine compassion and creative spirit. Though often inside a lab or classroom, he never missed an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of a sunset or rainbow. It is our hope that he will never miss one again.
Those we love don’t go away,
they walk beside us everyday
Unseen, unheard but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Nathaniel is survived by his Mother Lisa Griffin(Mike); Father Chris Dolan; Grandparents Lee Griffin (Lisa), Akemi Griffin (Jimmy), Mike and Bonnie Dolan; Aunts Erika Kirchner(Chris), Nina Dillard(Gabe), Stephanie Maye(Shannon), Jackie Griffin, Tina Heaton(Will); Uncle Quintin Griffin.
Nathaniel’s life will be celebrated with a private, family service.
