Ralph K. Evans' Obituary
Ralph Kline Evans, 90, of Odessa, FL passed away January 25, 2021. He was born December 30, 1930 in New Britain, CT to Ralph and Ceilia Evans, who have predeceased him. Ralph served as a member of the Connecticut National Guard, was a proud Mason of 69 years, Shriner and a Jester, an avid Trap Shooter where he accumulated many trophies and accolades; a car enthusiast he was proud of his prize winning restorations. A private pilot, where jumping in the plane and taking a short hop to Nantucket or other summer getaways for an ice cream was not unheard of. While not a college graduate, he was occasionally called upon to be a guest lecturer at local Connecticut colleges. Ralph was President of Nickson Industries, Inc of Plantsville, CT; where he was instrumental in the development of multiple patents for the automotive repair market. Prior to that he was a Tool Maker for Colts Industries, from there he became a manufacturers rep for large industrial machinery and traveled New England in that capacity where he acquired lifelong friends among the companies he called on. Most recently he was a partner with his wife, Ronnie, in the local Tampa Bay residential real estate industry where he continued to add friendships. Ralph enjoyed gourmet cooking - both preparing and eating, along with his gimlet. Survivors include his wife, Veronica "Ronnie" of 24 years; a sister Carol Bennett, Southington, CT; Children, Melissa Evans, Plainville, CT, Melinda Evans Bothwell, Scotland, UK, Lizbeth Carmichael (Joel), Southington, CT; Step-children, Kathleen Bardelli Lee (Tom), Kent, CT, Jodi Bardelli Pelletier, Odessa, FL, Brian Bardelli (Geri) Chesire, CT; Grandchildren, Delaina Sepko, Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Evan McCue, Plainville, CT, Andrew Bardelli, Benjamin and Megan Pelletier, Odessa, FL, Claire, Ava and Wyatt Lee, Kent, CT, Samantha and Lila Bardelli, Chesire, CT and a great-grandson, Jay Bardelli, Lakeland, FL.
Ralph will be placed at Bristol Cemetery, Bristol, CT in the Evans family plot that was established in 1900. The family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
