Lu Croteau
Roger and I met each other at morning Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Roger was a faithful daily Mass attendant. He was my right hand man on Friday mornings. As I opened the doors to the sacristy, he woud make his way to the cupboard, grab the keys, and proceed to unlock the doors of the chapel as well as turning on the lights. It is during those times that we found out that we grew up very near each other. He in Maine and I in NH. Both of us were educatded by french canadien nuns and french was the main language in our homes. We often would recall certain sayings in french (old acadien french) and had good laughs together reminiscing about our days with the nuns. Needless to say it brought shock and sadness to hear of his sudden passing. He was such a good man and a faithful Catholic. He was always ready to give a helping hand to whomever needed it. Rest in peace,Roger. We miss your beautiful smile and your joyful disposition.
