Roger P. Roy Sr's Obituary
Roger Paul Roy of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Sanford, Maine, a devoted man of God, went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2026.
Roger was born on April 20, 1947, the son of the late Edgar and Anita Roy. He was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, Carolyn “Suzi” Roy, with whom he traveled the world.
Roger spent his entire working career in sales. The times he enjoyed most were those spent with family and friends, especially at Sand Pond, where he was always looking for a game of cribbage. Roger dedicated a great deal of his time to helping families affected by Alzheimer’s disease. His kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Roger Roy Jr. and his wife, Cameron, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Eric Roy and his wife, Jill, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his daughter, Mica Piper of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Madison Anderson, Roger “Paul” Roy III, and Cooper Lott, all of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Mallory Warrick of Charleston, South Carolina, Foster Roy of Bend, Oregon, and Kira Piper of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Kyla Piper of Martinsburg, West Virigina; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Jackie (Roy) Tranchemontagne and her husband, George, of Sanford, Maine; his dear friends, Jim Winnebrenner and J.R. Cox; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Activity Fund at Palm Garden of Largo, 10500 Starkey Road, Largo, FL 33777.
Services will be announced at a later date.
