Ronald G. Marit, 61, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Petersburg. Ronald was born August 5, 1964 in Litchfield, IL to Kenneth L. and Esther J. Marit.
Ronald worked as a diesel technician for over 30 years at Florida Fuel Injection. He loved sports, especially football. He was a big fan of the Buccaneers. He was the grillmaster and loved to BBQ and Smoke meats. Also, he was a big fan of Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.
Ronald is preceded in death by his dad, Kenneth L. Marit and 2 brothers, Joseph R. Marit and Oliver W. Marit. He leaves behind his wife, together 35 years, Lois Strawbridge; a daughter, April Marit; his mom, Esther Jean (Alfred "A.J.") Thiele; brothers, Dennis (Delphi) Marit, Michael (Diane Youngblood) Marit, James Marit, Donald Marit & Kenneth (Candy) Hayes; sisters, Deboah Miller & Patricia Becker.
