Sandra Kay Kauffer (Hughes) passed away on October 24, 2022, near Tampa, FL where she had resided for more than 28 years. She grew up in Ashton, WV, and spent most of the early part of her life in Point Pleasant, WV before leaving Read Obituary
Sandra was my teacher at Wahama and a mentor. It saddens me to know she’s passed on. She seen something in me I didn’t and she was able to bring it out. I am successful today because of her push and determination to make me the person I am today along with some other teachers, but I remember her mostly.
I met Sandra recently to assist with a few personal needs.
Her spirit was definitely one to remember. She spoke mostly of her love for her children and family.
I am sorry to hear about passing.
