Dearest Chithrani, and children Heshani, Taniya, Chenali, and Gleshan ("Sam") -- Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers upon hearing the news of the death of your beloved husband and father.
We Collelis will always remember Jey, and all of you, as wonderful neighbors and good friends. Jey was never too busy to walk across the street and chat a while, and uncomplainingly brought over mail that was often mistakenly delivered to your house, or to collect his delivered to us. He was always laughing whenever he did so, and these incidents would nearly always result in a good visit.
He was never without a smile and was quick to laugh, even when discussing his health problems. He was always hopeful of feeling better soon, and gave great encouragement to others who may have been fearful of their own health situations.
Jey's love for all of you shone continually in his face and filled his conversation. He was so proud of all of you for all your accomplishments, and even more just for you yourselves.
He was genuinely interested in his neighbors' doings, how everyone's families were, and always had time to hear a new joke. His kindness, sense of humor, genuine interest, and gentleness are things we treasure, and we will always remember him with great affection.
Dearest Jey – We hold you and your family close in our hearts. Godspeed, dear friend - may we all meet again joyously in Heaven, never after to part!
