Tandy Lane was a strong Christian gentleman in the true Southern tradition. He taught Science, but engaged his students with TALES from his many hunting and fishing experiences, and NONE of us ever forgot him. Well done, dear friend. I KNOW you are in Heaven with OUR LORD>
This was a shock ... So many years back in St.Pete High I remember and his wonderful voice ... sense of humor and the music dept. at SPHS. Back then I could not fathom twins being so different in looks and personality ... He and John were so special ... Rad Smith will attest to that I am sure as did Fran Ellinwood .. Long time ago memories still seem current ... I remember back when Tandy's Dad taught SS @ First Baptist Church, St. Pete ...in my memory's eye ... I can still see the name ... only later did I meet the twins ... Tandy was a special educator ... remember seeing him at meetings .. Tandy's family ..you were blessed ...Prayers and love.. I'm so sorry to hear that Tandy just died.Special Jr. and Sr. Hi. School memories flood my mind and heart today. I remember the close friendship, the many wonderful musical experiences, and the fun times that we all enjoyed.As a teaacher, I know that Tandy made a difference in the lives of his students. I am grateful for my life-long friendship with Tandy. From being my 6th Grade Science teacher to a man who mentored me in fishing and hunting along with my Father; I am truly going to miss you. The visits I had with the you and Hellen the past months since I returned to Dunedin were priceless and I am glad that I got to take advantage of that time visiting. Patrick
