We are saddened to announce that our colleague and friend, Tom Barcus, passed away surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Tom joined the Sunbelt Software team back in 2008 as a Support Engineer and was our Tier 3 support technician that worked out of Clearwater, Florida. Tom started with the VIPRE Business product line over 14 years ago. He contributed much to the development of the Business Support team, mentoring, and helping to build their skill sets. He’ll be remembered by his colleagues for his insatiable curiosity, humor, and down-to-earth nature.
Tom's favorite way to spend his time was with his grandchildren. He has three children, Elizabeth, Dee, and Greg. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to camp all over Florida, but his favorite places were on the Suwannee River and Pensacola. Tom also had a full woodworking shop at his house where he could build anything.
We will miss Tom more than words can express.
