I really miss my dear friend Vicky. The time we spent together was short, but she made a big impact on my life. She taught me many things, and my guess is that she didn't even realize she was teaching me most of the time. The lessons she taught me have really influenced my life.
I miss her practical wisdom and her words of advice. I miss her knowledge of the scriptures and the insights she shared with me. I miss seeing her love and concern for her children and grandchildren. I miss our trips to the temple and eating contraband peanut M&M's on the way home.
Every time I see some beautiful scenery I want to take a picture for her. I want to talk about the books we've read and what we learned. I always came home happy after spending time with her.
I'm a lucky woman for having known Vicky Shackelton.
