Today I came to know that Victor W. Rodwell was the original author of the very famous biochemistry book titled, Harper's illustrated biochemistry. He has passed away recently. May his soul rest in eternal peace. As a medical student in the nineties, I have read his book which is still benefiting me. His explanation of the minute details of the biochemical reactions that drive our metabolism is superb and live a lasting impact in the reader's mind. Because I know that old books are old friends, therefore at the age of fifty, I have again resorted to his book so that I can update my knowledge of biochemistry. I am sure, it will enrich my clinical wisdom.
