William "Bill" Byron Parker's Obituary
Bill Parker passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. He was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward A. Parker Sr., Isabel Coney Coward Parker, and his stepmother, Elizabeth Stirling Parker. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin. Bill was a dear friend to all who knew him. Bill is survived by his brothers, Edward A. Parker (Patricia), Richard D. Parker, and sister, Suzanne Karr (Stephen). He was a special uncle to Andrea DiRuggiero (Vito), Travis Parker (Charlene), Jeffrey Parker (Holly), Amy Parker, Timothy Parker, Taylor Karr (Morgan), and Christopher Karr (Emily). He was a great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Bill worked as Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer for Biltmore Construction Company, Inc. He was an avid supporter of the Florida Highway Patrol and served many years on their Advisory Council. Bill was a true Florida State Seminole; in fact, he never missed a home game for forty-five years, starting in 1973.
Bill was one of the most generous, kind, and selfless people. We will miss him dearly.
The service will be held on July 26, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Ave., Clearwater, Florida, followed by interment at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
